I love the Oscars, the movies, the dresses, and the sometimes awkward/hilarious speeches the winners produce. Here are six of my favourite
Sally Fields - 57th Oscars
This might be my favourite, and the look John Malkovich gives her is the cherry on top.
(Speech starts at 2:30, but skip to 3:30 for the cringe moment)
Marlon Brando & Sacheen Littlefeather - 45th Oscars
The Actors/Actresses/Directors etc love to use this platform to make political statements. I personally think they're famous so they have many platforms to make their statements, and it does give the event a different vibe. But in this case, it was to do with the film industry so I guess it kept with the theme...

Michael Moore - 75th Oscars
Another political statement... I liked this one though, it wasn't as awkward, even though he was getting booed. Classic closing line "And any time you’ve got the Pope and the Dixie Chicks against you, your time is up. Thank you very much."
The Dixie Chicks are pretty powerful, or so I've heard...
Adrien Brody - 75th Oscars
THAT KISS THOUGH. Oh and the music at the end that he in turn cuts off.
Mo'Nique - 82nd Oscars
I get the reasoning behind this but I found it awkward and she sounded pretty aggressive for someone who just won an Oscar.

There are so many more great, funny, awkward speeches... I just picked out a few that stuck out in my mind. It also kills a couple of hours if you're ever bored.

Jennifer Lawrence - 85th Oscars
I love this girl, because this is what would happen if it was me and I'm sure others can sympathise too.
