Fifty Shades of Grey Review

I saw Fifty Shades of Grey on Saturday and I personally thought it was good, not excellent but something to watch and a film that didn't bore me (it definitely kept me on my toes)! I did find it awkward watching a film like this with about 300 other people (mostly couples) why would you see this with your Boyfriend/Girlfriend?

The story line was what I expected, and I know it bred from Twilight fan fiction because a lot of the scenes reminded me of it - but less sparkly and vampirey and a lot sexier. Jamie Dornan was surprisingly good, my friends and I didn't know if he came across too nice IRL... But I personally think he nailed it and how can you not want to stare at that man for 2 hours?

So, I personally haven't read the books but my friends have and they said there were lines and scenes in the film that didn't make sense. Like him randomly saying blunt/aggressive phrases from the original text, when in the film she hadn't done anything. I heard the author E.L. James was really demanding that the original lines from the book be featured heavily in the screenplay - but that's the reason they have screenwriters and novelists because; sentences that make sense in a novel do not always make sense on the big screen...

Anyway overall it was an enjoyable watch, my advice though don't buy popcorn (I can pretty much finish a large, I only ate half) I was too distracted and it just felt wrong eating popcorn while someone was getting whipped and handcuffed in front of me. Oh, and if this is on TV in the future DO NOT WATCH IT WITH YOUR PARENTS... That's a situation that's going to be uncomfortable for everyone.

I give this film 3/5 handcuffs - aren't I funny

Anyway if you've seen it, tell me! Comment below

Peace.
